SmartPro Instrument ("we", "our", "us") provides the Quiz by SmartPro app and related services.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and what choices you have.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
- Account and profile data: name, email address, phone (including country code), company/organization, encrypted password, account status.
- Serial and device management data: registered S/Ns, transfer requests, device fingerprint/identifier, device display name, assignment history, and related audit records.
- Certificate and report metadata: generated file name, file URL/path, file size, signature metadata, and timestamps (for history and cloud listing).
- Operational and security logs: login/register events, failed authentication attempts, timestamps, IP address, user agent, and admin/user action logs.
- Support/contact data: information you provide when contacting support.
2. Permissions and Device Access
The app may request these permissions to provide core features:
- Bluetooth / Nearby devices: to discover and connect to Quiz, weight scale adapters, and thermal printers.
- Location (Android 10/11 only): required by Android BLE discovery behavior. We do not use location for tracking or advertising.
- Camera: to capture photos/images used in report/certificate workflows.
- Internet and network state: to authenticate, sync account/serial data, and access cloud/report features.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide login, account, and session functionality.
- Enforce serial ownership/device limits and device-to-S/N assignment rules.
- Generate, store, list, and manage certificate/report records.
- Send verification and workflow emails (for example, OTP and serial transfer notifications).
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
- Operate admin portal features (user, serial, transfer, and audit management).
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share data only when needed to provide services:
- Service providers: infrastructure and email delivery providers used to run app features.
- Authorized administrators: admin users can access operational data required to manage user accounts and S/N operations.
- Legal compliance: if required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.
5. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party tools strictly to operate the service (for example, transactional email delivery).
We do not use third-party advertising SDKs for behavioral ads in this app.
6. Data Retention
- Account/profile and serial mapping records are retained while your account is active and as needed for service and compliance.
- Operational logs are retained for security and audit purposes, then archived/purged according to business policy.
- You may delete your account in the app (Account Settings -> Delete Account) or request deletion by email (subject to legal/security retention obligations).
7. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect data.
However, no internet transmission or storage method is 100% secure.
8. International Data Processing
Your information may be processed on servers and by service providers in jurisdictions different from your own.
We apply appropriate safeguards where required.
9. Children’s Privacy
The app is not directed to children under 13 (or under the minimum digital age in your jurisdiction).
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
